A New Year in the studio and I’m looking forward to planning the year ahead. Lots of exciting news for the coming months with a lovely event at Ickworth House, Suffolk in April already confirmed and an open studio event with South East Open for the month of June. I will release information about my other events and new retail outlets when they are confirmed

It is definitely nice to get out of the studio once and awhile and talk to people about my clay passion and inspirations behind the work. Just finishing setting up my table @ickworthnt for the craft event happening this weekend with the lovely @march_hare_collective . It took a bit longer than normal to set up as I have a new range of spring flowers and new display blocks. I’m really pernickety when it comes to setting up my stall, I think it is all the years I spent curating exhibitions and galleries. Looking forward to the next few days spending time with some very talented creatives and visitors to the event. The event is on from 10-4pm, so if you are in the area pop by and say hello 😃

There are only 2 days left until the @march_hare_collective craft event @ickworthnt . It is always a busy time in the studio before a show, lots of odd jobs to do, so I have become a great list maker to ensure everything will be ready in time. Today I am adding wire stems to the little Spring flowers. Things are returning back to normal in the studio after the busy @rhshydehall show last weekend. I have been experimenting with some new pink glazes after a rush for pink orders last month. I think people have been inspired by the Barbie film earlier in the year and need more pink in their lives and homes. Sunflowers are very popular at the moment, every week i have an order or 2 come through. Usually the orders are for gifts, which you can understand why, when you look into the meaning of the flower. This time I thought I would try out an idea of creating them as a wall piece. They are fascinating flowers as the middle of them is actually made up of thousands of little flowers. Their name derives from the fact that their heads turn to track the sun.
